Carolyn Mazzenga CPA*

As the Partner-In-Charge of the Melville, New York office, Carolyn Mazzenga is responsible for overseeing the growth of the Firm’s Long Island operations. She has an extensive background in business development and management and is highly committed to community involvement including women’s initiatives.

In addition to being an integral part of the Firm’s leadership team, Ms. Mazzenga serves as the Partner-In-Charge of the Firm’s High- Net-Worth Individuals Practice group. In this capacity, she oversees staff responsible for providing financial management, specialized capabilities and professional expertise to high-net-worth families. She also assists hedge fund managers with personal and business income tax solutions.

Leveraging her notoriety in the women’s business community, Ms. Mazzenga was instrumental in launching the Marcum Women’s Leadership Development Program, a cutting-edge initiative to help promote and nourish the careers of the Firm’s female managers and partners. In addition, she serves as a mentor for several Firm managers and Partners.

A recognized industry leader, Ms. Mazzenga has authored numerous articles and speaks before professional organizations on tax, estate and succession planning topics. She also has been quoted in several publications on work-life balance, flexible scheduling and women’s initiatives.

Prior to joining Marcum in 1991, Ms. Mazzenga operated her own practice providing services to small, mid-sized and women-owned businesses as well as high-net-worth individuals. Earlier in her career, she spent 10 years with a “Big 4” firm.
