Marcum LLP Introduces New Partner Robert S. Schachter

Marcum LLP, Certified Public Accountants and Advisors, is pleased to announce that Robert S. Schachter, CPA, has joined Marcum as a Partner in the Alternative Investment Group Tax Department of the Firm’s New York City office. “Robert brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Firm,” states Marcum Managing Partner Jeffrey M. Weiner. “He will make a great addition to our growing alternative investment practice group.”
A respected tax consultant, Robert assists development stage entities, investment partnerships, broker-dealers, fund-of-funds entities, and private investors. He reviews partnership agreement allocations and consults if there are adverse affects in such allocations. In addition, he is involved with tax structuring of private equity transactions, including the tax ramifications to multi-state consolidated corporate entities with highly-compensated employee owners. “Marcum’s Alternative Investment Group is dedicated to meeting the needs of securities firms, fund managers, investment advisers and other financial services organizations, and I am thrilled to be a part of the team,” comments Partner Robert Schachter.
