John Mezzanotte to Join Marcum's Tax Practice in New England
Brings 30 years of Domestic and International Tax and Consulting Experience to the Firm
New Haven, CT – February 14, 2011 – Marcum LLP, one of the largest independent public accounting and advisory services firms in the nation, today announced that John Mezzanotte will join the firm’s Tax Department as a Partner. Working out of the New Haven, CT office, Mr. Mezzanotte will work with individual and corporate clientele providing a range of Tax, Consulting and Advisory services.

Scillia, Partner-in-Charge of the New England Region. “I’ve known John for 30 years so it’s very exciting to have him as a part of our team at Marcum.”
Mr. Mezzanotte brings more than 30 years of experience in public and private accounting to his current role of tax Partner at Marcum. His deep experience working with complex individual and corporate clients and large trusts as well as his expertise in the Hospitality industry and Caribbean markets will compliment the Firm’s position as the middle market alternative for Tax and Consulting services.
Prior to joining Marcum, Mr. Mezzanotte most recently was the principal of Mezzanotte Associates, LLC an accounting practice offering a full range of services with specialties in the Caribbean region, litigation support, and a focus on the Hospitality industry. Beyond public accounting, Mr. Mezzanotte has held executive level positions in finance as CFO, Principal of an Investment Banking firm, Co-Trustee of a large Marital Trust, Managing Director of a world renown hotel and resort, among others.
Mr. Mezzanotte earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and his Masters in Business Administration at the University of Connecticut. He has lectured at several hospitality conferences and has authored market studies on over $2.5 billion of hotel and related projects.
